War in Iraq

War in Iraq Whenever the issue of the War in Iraq is discussed there will be both ardent supporters and vitriolic opponents who are more than eager to share their views on the subject.

What some object to most in relation to the War in Iraq is the justification used by the President for beginning the offensive. The original justification was the perceived threat of weapons of mass destruction. When no WMD's were discovered the ire of many was felt keenly as articles of impeachment were considered for both the President and Vice-President.

Those in support of the war did so because they either believed the people of Iraq needed to be liberated from the 'oppressive' regime of Saddam Hussein or that by confronting terrorism in this way the world would ultimately be a safer place.

The War in Iraq elicits strong reaction and results in powerful debate. Was this war justified?
