Euthanasia

euthanasia Is euthanasia a matter of providing death with dignity or is it murder?

For many the subject of euthanasia provides an immediate negative response. However, there are those who may be more inclined to consider the merits of physician-assisted suicide when they observe a loved one in the difficult last days of death.

There are very few controversial issues that rely so strongly on the emotions of the opinionated.

Pro-life observers see euthanasia as a freight train that may not be able to be stopped once it gets going. The belief is that if it is determined that an individual or family member can decide when end of life should occur given the most difficult scenarios then what is to prevent a request for euthanasia in other scenarios.

Euthanasia advocates would argue the case, but that's what makes this an emotionally charged controversy.
